Genesis Schools has a Board of Trustees that acts as overseers for the school.  This includes both the Academy and Preschool.

The Trustees set all policies and procedures within the school and are ultimately responsible for:

   1)  Performing strategic planning;
   2)  Executing on the strategic vision;
   3)  Hiring, coaching, and mentoring the Administrator;
   4)  Ensuring that all policies and procedures are reviewed, updated, and enforced;
   5)  Ensuring that a positive educational environment exists within the school;
   6)  Facilitating communication between the school and parents;
   7)  Provide reports quarterly, or on request, to the Elders of Tonganoxie Christian Church

The Trustees must perform their duties within the constraints of the corporate Bylaws for Genesis Schools, Inc. (GSI).  These Bylaws define such things as meeting structures, how Trustees are elected, Trustee terms of office, officers, the relationship of GSI to the Tonganoxie Christian Church, and other language that is required by the State of Kansas.

The Trustees meet on the second Monday of each month at 7:00 pm in the main conference room which can be found in the south wing of the Tonganoxie Christian Church facilities. 
The Trustees welcome visitors who want to learn more about how the school operates.  They have even built fifteen minutes into the start of every meeting's agenda so the public can have an opportunity to present ideas or comments.
